When will it dawn?
When will it dawn?
All my life I wasted
The youthful years,
Educating the masses.
All my life I sacrificed,
In teaching the basics,
Of what is all life all about?
What’s the use of a brain?
If we let it go down the drain.
Why of what use is our body,
If body language
We can’t decipher,
What’s the use of a poet like me?
If it still does not dawn,
That poetry is just
A sentimental out flow,
Of love,
Of emotion,
Of sexual and stress expulsion.
Poetry is the love that does bind
A poet like me,
Who writes poetry of all kind?
Where on this earth,
Will one like me you’ll ever find?
I cover from the youth,
Teenagers,
Lovers,
To decrepit old people
Ah! When will it dawn,
That my next name
Will be Dawn?
