Bibliomaniac

That day
My head drooped in shame.
Fruit filled trees bow their heads
May be they are ashamed.
My omniscient father made me so.
The onus lies on my father,
My head was filled with books.
Nothing remains, but knowledge.
Breathless books at my beck and call.
Look here and look there,
See only books. Every nook and corner
My father put me in the book-house.
My head puffed slowly, steadily
My head was over burdened.
Hey,I cannot lift my heavy head!
People called: "Bibliomaniac  idiot!"
On and on, My talk was a quotation,
The fence I sit shattered,
And I felt intoxicated.
Precluded, ashamed, ostracised,
I ceased to be social.
Vices, cruelty and savagery
How can books pour all into my head? The result.
No deviation from theory.
Thus I was nicknamed:
BIBLIOMANIAC

I can relate to the nickname/title, I am a bibliomaniac myself :) Some random ideas and thoughts that surfaced while reading your poem: That day My head drooped in shame. Fruit filled trees bow(ed) their heads (Maybe) they (felt) ashamed. My omniscient father (turned me into this). The onus lies on my father, (Who filled my head) with books. Nothing remains but knowledge. Breathless books at my beck and call. Look here and look there, See only books. Every nook and corner (swarms with them). My father put me in the book-house. My head puffed slowly, steadily (Becoming) over burdened. Hey, I cannot lift my heavy head! People called: “Bibliomaniac idiot!” On and on, My talk was a quotation, The fence I (sat) on shattered, And I felt intoxicated. Precluded, ashamed, ostracised, I ceased to be social. Vices, cruelty and savagery How can books pour all (this) into my head? The result(,) No deviation from theory. Thus I was nicknamed: BIBLIOMANIAC Yours, ~Nina
