That "Day"
I've seen a bumble bee fly
yet, their aerodynamic less bodies
lend greatly towards walking, instead of flying.
Scientists cannot explain this
but, it truly happens
it's definitely a miracle, of sorts.
I've seen the lights in the heavens
known as the Aurora Borealis shine
and that too, is a miracle of sorts.
I've seen a double rainbow
on more than one occasion, in broad daylight
and that also, is a miracle of sorts.
Serendipitous events transpire
draped in irony, and cloaked in consequences
and hands down, they're miracles of sorts.
But then, in the chapters of my life
I believed personal miracles to be over, for me
until of course, came the "Day".
It was a day of fortune where the heavenly bodies
all lined up perfectly
so that we could share footprints on this earth.
Considering all that could've happened
the bee shouldn't have flown
there shouldn't have been lights, or a double rainbow
but, there were these things.....and more.
Because we were allowed to share footprints
and to co-mingle happily, in this lifetime.
Perhaps there's even a miracle in the timing, of all of this.
Maybe the miracle is that, even though the odds were against us
we still found each other
and our shared footprints became a dance
with the music being a love song
and we both saw a bee fly through lights and rainbows
and we found room enough to dance
where it might have been easier to walk away.
Yes, ours is a miracle of sorts.....because of, that "Day".
