THE SAME FRONT DOOR

 THE SAME FRONT DOOR

The heat of my feelings,

The fire in the light

Ignites all my being tonight,

The embers discarded

From yesterdays tears,

Make up for the sadness

Of all bygone fears;

Your new vision shines

In the skies of my mind,

I’ll fly with you, die with you,

Leave grief behind,

My life now made clear as the sun

Takes impetus you have begun,

As I stride over pain,

And dance once again,

In a waltz round and round

Never touching the ground,

Yes you’ve won.

My life’s not my own any more,

As we now have the same front door.

could use just a little more

could use just a little more personalization, take something unpoetic turned poetic- coffee cups(or tea cups, sry), towells, his n her umm golf clubs, or something that would make other people mad that you overlook now for loves sake. very light hearted and i truly feel happier for the writer at the end.

Dear Ann

Lovely poem and we do have the same front door. A door that opens to our poetic nature that flows volumes with our words of woe and happiness. Rosina & Zak, my wee pet rat xena465

I loved it Ann, Gorgous and sweet and romantic and speacial. I thought this the perfect read to end with tonight. And the happy ending and sharing of the front door makes it such a happy romance. Thank you so much for sharing this. I love the one I share a front door with too! With laughter and hugs, Julie D.D.

Ann, I don’t usually go

Ann, I don't usually go for 'love' poetry - I'm a bit of a cynic i'm afraid, but when I read this I went all 'gooey'. It made me feel (almost) as if I would like a relationship again. I’ll fly with you, die with you, leave grief behind.... As I stride over pain, And dance once again, So simple, so deep. It really touched my heart as all of your work does. You truly are gifted. Love Judy

When a poem is written by someone 'in love'

Ann of Norway When a poem is written by someone 'in love' and with the context being real, it is so genuine that it HAS to be felt by the reader if it has anything going for it, as well as being in the rhythm and the words. I know what you mean, and I too sometimes feel oh shucks, not more of that STUFF; and yet when it goes through one in a kind of aside manner, then it has its own impact. Yes I have been a bit this way this past year with a reason, but how I love the trip of it, its the absolute best way to be inspired completely; one poet said not long ago that a poet should be always 'in love,' because he will produce his best when he is; maybe that applies to other arts too, I expect so, even if the object of that love be a passion for something, like the playing of an instrument in the best way possible and achieving it as best they can, that is possible to correlate with the feeling of being in love. It sounds wishy-washy when others are experiencing it, but when you do yourself, the moon is in your bedroom lighting up the whole world of your sensations and desires and that is not to be compared with is it? Thank you for visiting my poem and being so positive about it Judyanne, lovely name too reminding me of my good friend in Scotland Mary-Jane with a daughter Sarah-Jane. In Norway a double name is common, in fact all have them and even say them when being spoken to. Hope you find the love you love to love Judyanne with my love to you Ann.
