My Time Prayer
I pray the lord
I go to sleep
with blessings full
at least knee deep,
forgive my sins
I so regret
and thank you for
the needs you've met.
Let me sleep, well
throughout the night
and when I wake
let me do right;
but if you take
my soul away
and see it fit
it's my last day;
let everyone know
that I did touch
that I loved them
so very much;
and if you'd grant
one wish to me
let no one grieve
in my family;
for, all my life
I've done my best
to recognize
and pass the test;
so take me calmly
away with you
and let my friends
and family, too
understand
life's final rhyme
I did no wrong
'twas just, my time.
I go to sleep
with blessings full
at least knee deep,
forgive my sins
I so regret
and thank you for
the needs you've met.
Let me sleep, well
throughout the night
and when I wake
let me do right;
but if you take
my soul away
and see it fit
it's my last day;
let everyone know
that I did touch
that I loved them
so very much;
and if you'd grant
one wish to me
let no one grieve
in my family;
for, all my life
I've done my best
to recognize
and pass the test;
so take me calmly
away with you
and let my friends
and family, too
understand
life's final rhyme
I did no wrong
'twas just, my time.
