The drawing

You lost a smile to whims of your own mind

Eyes, not glazed with age, but time and some thing

you remembered just now, still buying peace

from all that remains loud, your hands rest,

forlorn in moment,- one head, a collar

pressed, the sweet calm and polished fingernails

Conduits of sincerity and absence

A moment there then gone into timelessness.

It has the succinctness of the haiku seen in a gaze, a glimpse of a reality in a dreamed world and face, an expression, the glint of the nails, a moment there then gone into timelessness. Ann of Norway.
