Fly

I wasn't a whore until you met me
I placed my body on the line.  you
were hanging
limp
finished and turned away.   your
next conquest already in your little
black book of revisions.   a cutting
edge is all that remains.  poems
are not noble
in the light of day.  poems
have nothing to say;
I cough up your memory.  you taste
of a sticky sweetness,
and I probably need to file my nails.  or
at least sharpen them.

The following comment could

The following comment could not be included in the last words box... So here it is, in case you're wondering what prompted the poem: This poem is for all the men and the overt religious ideals that perpetuates this about women. You can call us whores and put us behind Burkas, abuse and kill us in our own homes in front of our children. We are not damaged goods because you are cowards; we know the awful truth you can not face: you fear women, and that fear proves your own lack of virility, your unworthiness as an equal partner.

Imagine

Imagine standing behind a ring of candles at Strawberry Fields. Suddenly someone says (a woman btw, not sure if it really matters) "It's over, he's gone." There were 12 people there (including me) just thinking. Then someone said; "The good is indestructable" I won't believe John and all the good about his life will ever be gone :~)=]--- Next I was acausted earlier today by an Alquida terrorist recruiter after posting a great John Lennon video. No harm to me I just informed the authourities. I am now marked a Zionist by a ring of 21 of those sons o' bitches. I do hate, I hate a lot of things and I do not act in a cause of hatred - ever. Anna? How does one sharpen one's nails? (((Anna))) Mark "some things change, some things do not"

Woman, I only know this. You

Woman, I only know this. You are my completion. My wing tip touches yours on this journey. What joy is there to fly above you when my cry is heard so far away. You did not want to be the keeper of the heart, holding it to the wind to bank and soar above the pines of love; you did not want to be cherished on a blanket of songs alone . Sharpen your pain to the pain I have caused you, and let me bleed your tears, for I am a man, and the child of your body.Let us heal together bound only by love. The misinformed idea of male supremacy has relegated woman to second class citizens through out much of the world and laid the ground work of poverty and ignorance. In the US as in other industrialized nations the rights of woman were hard won by a delegation of brave and tenacious woman's suffrage movement that has contributed to every endeavor human kind has striven to succeed in B

In truth, what kind of life

In truth, what kind of life have we created from this degeneration of an egalitarian society. It would seem that once we process our differences as humans, as men and women, as nations, ethnicities, etc. all those million and one things that serve to separate us, we find ourselves in dreamtime...in common memories of an egalitarian society. We want to go home and recreate that in our daily life, but first we must uncreate/deconstruct the hell realms that now exist in every one of us and in every one of our homes in greater and lesser degrees. It's difficult work at best to look at truth unflinchingly, without any fear. ~A

i cannot

tell you HOW to feel. nor what aspect of beauty to relate. if man is beast... where shall he look for guidance? I see a flower beautiful- Shall I possess it? Know; 't is folly to try. Nor shall I cry by the thorns imbedded in my holding, for they are the mark of remembrance of what I do. Yea- for Loves' sake- man must do his flower its just recognition, and realize he is but man without, without her all; without her thorns, her faults, her gifts withall must come his fall... as sorrow knows no Flower, Spring, nor She.

I don’t see you as

I don't see you as anything but a Lover of the Goddess, Steven. Any woman who is with you is quite fortunate. Forgive my prying, but have you and your partner split up? I seem to get that sense. The universe changes in a heartbeat, and the more love we give, the more love we have. Thank you for reading. You were my first dance partner here, Steven. Poetry is a dance of love, in whatever words that are used. ~A

I do believe

Self-Esteem is learned by means of communication. An ethical imperitive must be employed with what we do (write) And we are all human with human faults making mistakes. Hopfully fewer as we gain wisdom or move through time and gain experiences :) Self-Esteem=Self-Worth. Ethics=how we deal with good and bad. for whatever it's all worth, Mark "some things change, some things do not" Congratulations Anna !

I think we are born with

I think we are born with self-esteem. That's why a child's first word often is *NO!* Parents and the millions of moments into the indoctrination of one's mores of society, of one's sex and sexuality more often than not kill the natural self-esteem of a child and so we create a false persona. And the false persona kills nature as well as our humanity-our natural human nature. ~A

I can tell you this

I can tell you this much..Being an intelligent, analytical, and sensitive guy in a society of material possessions, sex, explosions, violence, and self gratification makes most alienate me and look upon me as a friend at best. non existent at worst. It is written somewhere deep down in our genes to be assholes if we're guys, and asshole seekers if your a woman. I dunno I think I may have just alienated myself from this conversation as well. Oh well.

some people say that sarcasm

some people say that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, i think not, just as i think you don't really beive that thought process you just wrote, but it could be said that is a small truth in the development of some peoples emotional journey in terms of self worth. Optimism in adversity nutures positive outcomes

Well, it's hard to keep one's age hidden when I call Seren my daughter and she calls me Mum. EH? Like how you put it Indy.... "WOMAN enough to admit that AGE is only relative or female enough to keep it hidden." Spoken like a man of deep comprehension. Bow of appreciation, Indy. ~A

Keep those nails sharp.

Min, my dragon muse, read this and she wants to pay you a visit, adding her foot long talons and fangs to the fray. This is the sort of gutsy write Bukowski would be proud of and exemplifies that anger is "god's force for change". You may have read, you are certainly aware of the concept, Anne Summers "Damned Whores and God's Police". On the surface a sociological feminist view of the exploitation of women in Australia's convict times, thematically a much wider scope. The title says it all. Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible

p.s.

have you read Mary Daly's "Pure Lust"? Only women and men who dance with the goddess could conceive of reading it. Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible
