Bulwarks of Love

What would had happenedto the growing pains, our frantic, talking hearts, the now lonely sidewalkby the sands and the sea, the bulwarks of love,we daily usedto walk by for more smiles,to more longing, our faces lingering insidethe privacy of our hearts.Ah, those furtive glancesinto each other eyes and faces,in which we found refugefrom our tremulous desires.Ah, the assurance of a futurethat would never come;it had nothing to dowith the birds whose chantingwe’d forgotten, nor the flowers I stolein the trepidation of the moment’s whimsand desperation, but with the wordsI would hear, while the searoaringand shimmering, you tenderly said nobecause we were too youngand bereftas the gray of the skyfor a dream that big.

Oh the furtive glances and

Oh the furtive glances and intentions warmed by the immersion of one heart into another when so young, so excited inside while looking calm on the outside, and the sensible conscience guiding damnably one's actions, what a tender and beautiful place you enact this poem again in your mind Hugo. A passing moment of passion that remains a lovely memory, well said. With love Ann of Norway. "I would hear, while the sea roaring and shimmering,".....tenses a bit mixed here? Or cut out while?

A stolen glance...

It can be heartrending when love comes along at the wrong time. I really like this insight, as a similar experience happened to me. Lovely Hugo Rosina xena465

Hugo, this is you, so

Hugo, this is you, so beautifully *engaged*.. Here is where I have a slight bump, as it were: "the bulwarks of love, we daily used to walk by for more smiles, some how it doesn't flow and I have no clue how to *fix* it... ~A "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Albert Pine
