IMAGO OF MY SOUL #2

Ghoulish gods have garnered
 memories, archaic dreams
and unquenchable fires
to fathom, to form
The  Imago -  "Romeo,"
the composite
of all my desires.

An invisible attempt to conspire
configuring up old longings,
personifying
all specified qualities, so dearly aquired
into that one mythical yet mortal being -
"Imago!"

You have existed before all time
born in the moment we met
re- birthed aspirations:  to make you mine.
You are mother,  father
memories of just us three
my attempts to merge with you
are to make me whole you see.

Imago of my Soul,
 "imaginery Lover"
the only blueprint I've ever known.
Despite all  imperfections
I can clearly see -
 until I make you mine
I shall never be free....

Gentlemen!

Apologies for a convoluted write! This is actually a well researched topic - to those in the 'know', but outside of psychology, indeed a little esoteric. Please google IMAGO and all shall be revealed! It won't make this a better poem - but it may well enlighten you! THanks for stopping by! Boni

ps.

THe title comes from a book by Isabelle Alleinde entitled: INES OF MY SOUL and in order not to make this a little more generic and not dedicated to that ONE PERSON - I used the concept of IMAGO. Hope that helps! Boni

tsk! tsk!

Kaligantsarus! Since when have NOT been up to a challenge! As my kids would say! "Well SORRY!" I realise it was a little off the mark as I said, but sometimes we have to paste it and stir up the ire of some and the curiosity of others! Indeed the write needs work on it from a purely poetical structuring part- I will get back to it! At the very least - YOU LEARNT SOMETHING! and teaching you anything is damn hard! ;) Boni

Oh Kal!

Sorry to provoke such ire! Alright - think I'll take up practice as a therapist and quit the "day -job" of writing crummy poetry! I take it all in good humour... CHeers Boni ps. Sorry - I don't do Janov's "Primal therapy" but I'm told it helps ;)

I've used Imago in my poems, and it's not that mysterious in light of the grand mystery that is the images we carry with us, morphing into what is our present reality. I'm keenly interested in part 3. Thanks Boni, this one is breaking out of the cocoon. ~A "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Thanks Anna!

for cutting me some slack and moreover seeing the intrigue in the last stanza... "unfinished business" indeed! My sense is that one takes certain tasks with one into the next life - but there is always the challenge of trying to finish up in this one! ;) Cheers Boni
