The Queen Of Ghosts

Oh Goddess of the crossroads
  the queen of ghosts
Arise within my soul
   balance my nights
so we may dance under Samhain lights.
Oh great Goddess of witchcraft
  I see you guard the
"ways and paths that cross".
O' dark and mighty Hecate
 I hear your barking dogs
  before you draw near
the smell of pomegranate in the air.
 Right of passage
the governess of liminal points
and the underworld.
For you are the gift of Zeus
O' Hecate:ancient,powerful,
  unconquerable!

Hello Paul

A brilliant and insightful poem. Of all the Goddesses, Hecate is my patron. The Lady of three faces. Bravo. Always, Cat

Hello Paul

Forgive me for coming to the party so late. You'll find that this is often the case, with me. You made this old pagan smile. I have visions of dancing the circle, building the power, and welcoming The Lady, reciting this. My only criticism is: get rid of "O' Hecate"" and replace it with "Oh Hecate" Respectfully Jim "Laws and rules don't kill freedom: narrow-minded intolerance does" : Race
