Vengeance

I don't know where to begin.
I was hoping to be gone when this happened

Your ways have trapped you
Your schemes embraced you

The problem is, now I'm caught
millions of miles away and distraught

I didn't trust the image you spun
and now the truth for the world has come

I'm' shocked appalled that it's not just me
You are embarrassed as you damn well should be

The awful part is now I feel sorry for you
waiting anticipating a verdict that's true

Seriously, I've been wearing blinders too long
but when I finally take mine off, I'm not the only one

hola

"You are embarrassed as you damn well should be" Sounds like someone getting caught with their pants down. "Seriously, I’ve been wearing blinders too long but when I finally take mine off, I’m not the only one" This often seems the way of it while waiting for insight; insight is a lonely place while waiting. All one may do is proceed. I liked this piece. It is solid from beginning to end. Well done. Victor Claude

Thank you.

This was hard to feel and hard to write, but like a friend of mine says, "it's good therapy" :) Thank you for the comments!
