An Ocean For A Part
betwixt geologists
who oracled a world
split
they stood on
fractures by the sea
and if the waves
stopped rolling in
would we redraw
entire maps
to suit the ending
of the world
for our new
geography
and when they looked up
for the last
time did they see
a moon full bright or
crescent
those two souls
who knew her
perilous
end
sideside on the coast
all their hope
for earths last
bright night
together
caught in the
cut of
a
new understanding
as each swung back
on different
fissures
where one will
always
see a sun
the other
dream a moon
