Do We Go The Distance

Do We Go The Distance


 

Do we go the distance
or just stay here 
Do we follow others 
with needs to compare 

Shall we stand still
as time marches on 
Or swim like a fish
in a golden pond  

Shall we love one another 
forgive one’s faults
Can we live our lives 
much less the assaults 

Do we go the distance 
or just stay here
Do we live for us
or do we not care 

Do we glance at life
always a frown we wear
Shall we smile ahead
or just stay here 

Do we stay down under
or rise up to the day 
May we all strive for
a clearer way

Do we go the distance
or just stay here
Let us sprint to life
and show some care

Hello Julie and Indi..the poem may be of a race but really isnt. you got it right on the nail my Indi sitting on the dock of the bay watching the clouds roll away..off to work and lots to do today. It is there that I have to run around.LOL Love and hugs xoxoxoox Mona

lets go sing to the Stars

Wow...I enjoy reading this... Very Good Flow... I would like to do a remix of this Poem... A Sprint..Is a fast run.. .All out burst of all you got at the end of the race.. .On the Road of life I see people stuck standing still... People hurt trying to craw out of a ditch... People that have been attacked run over and in great need... do we dare stop to help them? ...
