A Singleness of Nature
I offer us to both hold hands
so we'll walk side by side,
I offer to buy us wedding bands
should you yearn to be a bride.
I offer to share our life
with every season of the leaf,
we'll share the good times, and the strife
all the joy, and all the grief.
I welcome your keen insight
so honest and so true,
and when surroundings don't feel right
I will cling fast, to you.
To live my life without you
my mate, and my true heart,
I'd be lost at what to do
and where to even start.
I pledge to you my only code
that seeks things positive,
keeping our humble abode
a place we both can live.
And finally growing older
I still will love your face,
I'll offer you my shoulder
while still giving you your space.
And after life's chilly fall
I'm pledging from my heart,
that I would give my very all
so we can't slip apart.
And lastly, I do promise
that I will never roam,
sealing that with a loving kiss
as we walk the pathway home.
so we'll walk side by side,
I offer to buy us wedding bands
should you yearn to be a bride.
I offer to share our life
with every season of the leaf,
we'll share the good times, and the strife
all the joy, and all the grief.
I welcome your keen insight
so honest and so true,
and when surroundings don't feel right
I will cling fast, to you.
To live my life without you
my mate, and my true heart,
I'd be lost at what to do
and where to even start.
I pledge to you my only code
that seeks things positive,
keeping our humble abode
a place we both can live.
And finally growing older
I still will love your face,
I'll offer you my shoulder
while still giving you your space.
And after life's chilly fall
I'm pledging from my heart,
that I would give my very all
so we can't slip apart.
And lastly, I do promise
that I will never roam,
sealing that with a loving kiss
as we walk the pathway home.
