The curse of the single bed

Should your wife turn and say, you should get single bedsTake heed, this could be the thin end of the wedgeNot wishing to be that old prophet of doomYou could find, in a while, you will have your own roomThen after some time your beloved spouseWill insist you move on and find your own houseShe’ll stay in the family home that you boughtShe can keep all your money, they tell you in courtYou will end up a pauper, a vagrant or worseIf ever you’re hit with the single bed curse

Your city… go do some

Your city... go do some readings... go to a bookstore... find out if there are local publishers... that's the best thing... That was my first foray into the public world. I had a small part of 9 poems along with 3 other poets in *love whispers*... I had extra copies and went to Borders here in Ohio, gave a copy to a manager in charge of selecting books... voila they bought my copies... which is when I found out they also have once-a-month readings... unfortunately I have been unable to attend for quite a while. Good luck John, I really think you would have a vast market. There's so little joy in the world today and a sense of humour goes a long story-telling sort of a way. Hugs, Anna "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Albert Pine
