How to make a fruitcake

First you take a little child, the younger ones are best

Sit them in a dark cold house, remove all signs of zest

Pack them full of stories all about the world outside

Add a little fear and then you take away their pride

With individuality well and truly crushed

A few more years of mixing and their brains are truly mushed

This is worth a reworking, Shazbat

It introduces serious matter, but the focus seems to me too narrow. MOST brainwashing of the young is not so harshly done as that you mention here. Kids are transformed into robots by inchmeal, and subtly. I'm sure you can make your point more comprehensively, at the cost of writing at greater length, and with some tiresome technical business needed to keep the mood, which I found 'just bitter enough.' This is potentially a very powerful piece---but it's here incomplete. Perry

Hahaha! I love it!

Probably many a Serial Killer or Car bomber was made in this manner! Great job!
