GABRIEL Down the valley with winding steps of nineTwo parrots gazed tenderly at each otherOn a branch of tree with a flowing springThe covering cloud denoted, when evening cameA seeming presence of a being, their closenessIntermingled, the two became one and transformedInto an owl, I stood there gawping and transfixedWas I the expected long distant seeker of the onyx?It seemed to ask, with a royal gait, the owl movedExposing hues of charming colourful leaves, blendingWith scores of beautiful butterfly wings, laid outAs if to suggest a costume of a great titled chiefHis regalia, adorned with feathers of different birdsAn old man, with an air of ageless youth stepped outStretching forth a scroll of papyrus towards meTo bear witness and relay to the coming generationsScroll of testimonies, revealed in secret messagesTwo caring parrots, a wise owl, a chief with titlesAnd now an ageless guru sent to be my guideDictating as Gabriel on the imports of celestial ascentWhile my nimble fingers scribbled tirelessly along
