South

I flew towards the south
on wings of hope and expectation,
carried on the winds of love
to swiftly reach my destination
Gliding in, I landed boldy
reached her side, no hestiation
finding out, my wings had melted
in the rays of condemnation

Over eager, did I journey
Certain so, of feeling deeply
overzealous, never worried
that this time would end so cheaply
now my Wings Can never lift me
and the winds don't blow beneath me
now my heart and soul are trapped here
even as my body leaves me...

Thank you! I appreciate you

Thank you! I appreciate you reading it; as for the last line it implies that My heart and soul will always exist in tennes....ahem...the south even after I got back on the plan and went home. It was as if I was split into two parts, the physical drone, numb and on a plane home; and my hopes dreams and love, stuck in the south. This may have been too deep an answer....lol
