first cry,last sigh

At the first cry
the earth rejoices arrival

at each step in life
its twists and turns
meander,
but still there are cries
that glide to gentle sighs

engorge on love
and taste the heady height of risk
and then,
trawl the darkest alleyway
to experience,
just once

the agony of reality

in a flickering flame
drift to dreamland
with the knowledge
the sapling of youth
will become
the great pines
of the earth

and at death
a life lived,
will be met by cries
of a celebrated
coming home

your voice is growing very

your voice is growing very philosopic and wise in rediscovering your youth. The cries of joy and sorrow of birth, and death, and realism. My favorite lines are these: at each step in life its twists and turns meander, but still there are cries that glide to gentle sighs Qh how true Jayney love B

Dear Barry

I sort of know where this one came from part of it anyway (the part you liked) was inspired by other people and then it was weird the rest just seemed to grow around it ... and yes I guess its about life death and the bits inbetween thanks for your kind comment dear man it is appreciated love and hugs Jayne-Chloe x x x

miss two bums? I have got to hear that story.

I haven't commented much of late, I just can't keep up with you. This is solemn, splendid and joyous, like a Roman temple celebrating a baccanal Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible

When we let our poems go,the interpretation we orginially start with,is lost except to ourselves ... this ones about life and death and the bits in between I guess you could say ... and I was in a reflective mood when I wrote it ...
