Away in a dream

I'm in the dark once more
down in the depths of a sea of hate
no light can touch me
no colors are seen
it's black and white
with a streak of red

I'm up and out
of this scared skin
somewhere but not here
anywhere but here
among the bodies lied to rest
in the hollowed ground of empty sorrow

I'm away in a dreamland
where the scars are gone
and the lies still untold
were crimson relief
is left to rest
and memories are long forgotten

I'm in a hazy wonderland
Meet by eyes
of a beautiful blue
swept away
by a kiss
to a field of lavender roses

I think that I may
just stay asleep
and live in peaceful bliss
in snow clouds of roses
till life is worth
me waking up
