Jaded Sharks
Moments like this, often fleeting
Hardly prove a thing
But why then can't my heart stop beating
Hard enough, to sting.
I fall too hard, I fall to fast
I'm told this is a fling
I've heard these feelings seldom last
and cut you down, mid swing
I don't believe those jaded sharks
they've all something to say
They make their quips and snyde remarks
but have they felt THIS way?
they've surely not, or they'd confide
that I should never stray
from someone that can sole provide
the sunlight in my day.
Hardly prove a thing
But why then can't my heart stop beating
Hard enough, to sting.
I fall too hard, I fall to fast
I'm told this is a fling
I've heard these feelings seldom last
and cut you down, mid swing
I don't believe those jaded sharks
they've all something to say
They make their quips and snyde remarks
but have they felt THIS way?
they've surely not, or they'd confide
that I should never stray
from someone that can sole provide
the sunlight in my day.
