I Rode a Dinosaur
I Rode a Dinosaur Hello, sonYou won’t believe.I just had to write youIt was the coolest thingYou ever could conceive.I rode a dinosaurOne of those big long necked onesI was right up behind his headWith my hands lockedIn his ear holesThought I was gonna be deadHe was snorting through his noseBut his eyes smiled back at me Then in the middle of the race I realizedI wouldn’t be able to tell youFace to faceI haven’t seen your child sized frameFor twenty one years you’ve lainBeneath the same sodMy little boyYou would be thirty nowDinosaurs long forgotten But I have not forgotten youOh it was greatWe ducked just in front of a trainHe was pulling the weightOf a wagon behindI barely held onWe were on our way to schoolI rode a dinosaur.Oh, it was way coolI rode a dinosaurAin’t that something, Benji?
