Very good

I faltered 3rd last line, like as if a word were missing, but apart from that, flowed well and I enjoyed all. Love Lyz, Xx

This was actually the original poem...

A Love Lost Its been Almost half a decade And the thought of you Still haunts me The questions Of what might have been Lingers in my mind Like wine Aged by time… Those happy days Sweet smiles And careless hugs They meant Nothing to me But pure friendship Thats what I thought But I was wrong Now I know… I find myself In deep thought Where was I When you said I love you And where were you When I felt the urge To tell you Likewise… Time has passed by I guess Its too late To find you Only to be disillusioned Of something That has long gone Withered And lost… Our eyes Not to meet Our hands Not to entertwine Our love Not meant to be Our hearts Not to be as one we were Not destined at all… ...but I don't know why I decided to shorten it, last night...

Beautiful

Both are beautiful, you can go back and edit. It is up to you, as I said, I do like both reads. The original is always the best though, so, if you decide to change anything, I will be back for another read. Love Lyz. XX

Thanks!

...i kinda like the short one...but i was also thinking about Lyz comment, about the 3rd last line...i was thinking of putting the word "now" or just a comma (,)... any suggestion?

love is lost...

...but not dead! i like the long version! It is sad to go through life with regrets of what might have been, should have been, but if it weren't meant to be in this lifetime, then what's the lesson learned? Anyways...I like your poem!! LL

lesson learned...

...sorry it took me so long to reply... i guess we have our own preferences with the poem, long or short...i just felt editing it... as to the question: "what's the lesson learned?"...it is learning to accept things, even when it doesn't turn out the way we expect it to be...realizing that there's something more compelling that just one love, lost in this lifetime...our journey in life is ever growing & searching it does not end with a broken heart...

Exactly!

...life is not just happiness! there will always be challenges, difficulties and struggles through out our journey; but i do believe that these things happen not just for a reason, but for us to be molded as individuals with a strong foundation built with Faith, Hope and Love...
