Being Me
Her face shone like the moon.
Her eyes sparkled like the stars.
Her smile as wide as the sky.
This is how she was known.
And now,
her face does not seem to shine.
Her eyes do not seem to sparkle as before.
and her smile, has disappeared.
All her features have changed.
Everything is wrong,
Out of place.
She lied.
She hid everything inside.
She was never truely happy.
She couldn't take it any longer.
Now she does not hide.
We can all see now, the truth within.
She wants to be herself,
And she wants you to accept her.
Because this is who I really am.
I'd apologize,
but why apologize for being myself?
