Shades in the Grey (edit)
like the hands of a clock,
I watch the light
change angle,
as it moves trajectory
crossing the face of the room,
literally
it's as if the sun
is keeping time
for me,
saving me the energy
of actually looking
and when the light
goes,
with a turn
I became the silence
after the storm
watching flies
circling to their doom,
flypaper is buzzing
with a will to live
Until,
cool fingers of twilight
moved across my legs
up my torso
and to caress my face,
in each kissed breath
I am invigorated to life
I stand tall ...
darkness my friend
brought life again
for in the shade there is always
hiding,
a light of hope
I watch in the silence of Grey
inhaling threads of ether
