You open my eyes

You open my eyes

I have wasted

A life time

In search

I wish we’d met earlier

I would’ve utilised my time

Much better

What’s the meaning of life?

You want to know

You are just at the beginning

I have lived long enough

To know it’s meaning.

For you at your youth

Love is only sex

Perhaps infatuation

At mine, it’s vex, moans,

Bemoans

Also lurking dissatisfaction

Hurts, grievances and palpitation

While you at your youthful stage

Say all without any hesitation

Life has no meaning.

Yes it has no purpose

That’s possibly true

But once born I and you

Have to give our lives

Some meaning for existence

Be it love at the beginning

Or the end my son life has

A great deal of significance

It is much more

Than a simple night spent in bed

When one is young

Also youth is not dead.

Love is life that’s what I know

Life glows

It flows

Those who give life

Moment’s thought

Never in its fruitlessness

Are ever caught

Hope this sermon of mine

Proves divine

Love is a blessing from me to you

Have a meaningful life

Is my message

Dearest young one for you

Way to many spaces between your lines I see what you are trying to say ,but in my opinion(and it is just that) your poem needs more fullnes and depth Chrys
