You dancin'?

When granny passed over last WednesdayIt was something we never foresawShe seemed to be so fit and healthyBut then came the knock on the door The policeman was standing there solemnHe wasn’t sure what he should sayThen all of a sudden he blurted“it’s granny, she’s just past away” She’d been to the pensioners socialShe was dancing and knocking back ginThe silly  old girl gave a bit of a twirlWhen her heart it just stopped, it gave in So if you should ever reach ninetyAnd you’re having a night on the pissIf they say take a chance, get up, have a danceJust tell them you’ll give it a miss

Anyway I'm glad it raised a smile. John
