Words in Chains
Words in Chains
Written by Tink 1/05/10
I watch helplessly
As the demons
Capture the words
Floating through my mind.
Holding them
Captive
Keeping them
From reaching my fingers.
Faceless creatures
Dark, gloomy;
Haunting.
Taunting me
With my words
Bound in chains
I can see
Their world,
Colors,
Scenes.
Feeble
Are my attempts
To rescue my words.
It’s pointless.
I reach for them.
Instead of getting closer
They are yanked
Further from my fingers.
The chains tighten;
Words gasp for air.
Shadows grow darker
I back away.
To save the words,
I will try again.
Tomorrow.
