The Flower Opens

Whenever I behave badly
I need a "timeout",
self-imposed or otherwise
and today, I needed one with you.

I just needed to withdraw
over a small hurt,
that you'll never understand;

and that's okay
for it's all a process,

a process called, learning to love.

When hurt by others
we need to be able to cling to one another
no matter which one's injured,
and we each need to be there, for the other.

I needed you, today
to let me sort this out,
and it's not necessary for you to understand;

it's just, me...
and I hope that's okay,

my love.

That was really....

...a "patch-up" the relationship, poem ! I hadn't posted anything, as yet.....and had written this, so I put it in. Another poem, COULDN'T help me out of, posting something she felt was "private". Sooo much to learn.....soo little time. I'll not do THAT, again ! Thanks, for the comment. If you get a chance, I'm sure you'll find some of my earlier poems to your liking. I wrote ONLY poems that rhymed. I've been trying to break out of that mold, as it were. Give me a read, and then private message me, with what you think...okay? Thanks, again.
