My Starry Promise

A promise to me of a new life.

Only through your starry eyes

I will look out at the world so glum

And smile broadly, because

My promise has been delivered to me.

My little starry eyed angel.

Can’t promise I’ll be here forever

But worthwhile will be our time together.

Today I give you my starry scouts’ honour

Thats why I wish upon a star every night

To fulfill this wish, I have in my heart

For your little starry feet.

Thread carefully on mother nature

As you go about town, on your business.

For any muddy footprints means

A wakening clean-up, behind you

Which means taking a few steps back.

Instead leave  star-dusted prints in peoples hearts.

I promise you this much is true

For I’ve seen, I’ve done and I’ve said.

Therefore I know this to be gospel.
