What wishes wishing wells receive

what dreams we all conceive

what life when finally bereaved

of contact with our "King and Queen"

in life's forsaken journey,

left

with no farewell, no flags, no fears

to share,

no yokes to bear

and yet those yokes are there

to keep our minds afloat

in life's great moat

around our inner castles,

broken ruins become,

if they are shunned by those we love

that spark of life

while shining from our eyes

cannot disguise its feelings

deep

beneath their gaze

in labyrinths of carpeted memories

these cannot hide or be removed

to second place

they are the rocks that stood as stepping stones

to just this place

we call our own, our home

even though we are alone.

Sad but sweet. You have a great heart. And this poem is a gem. Love Lyz. XX

You know...

the pain of loss. Losing a loved one is never easy, no matter how we try to cushion ourselves with platitudes and cliches. Just wondering if maybe you might discard the line: [our loved home] Love and much hand-kissing, Sir Gee

You touched the point

That had been in my mind too, but not strongly enough to make me change it, and so I throw my Knight Sir Gee a flower and say thank you, your queen is pleased with your criticism and has taken the advice of so good a subject. Thank you my knight. I bow to your decision in return. love Ann, and stop this kissing of my hand immediately you will get your mouth full of the powder I us to, well ....never mind that!! ha ha.!
