Molly O

Into our lives you boundedMischief followed your trailChewed furniture forgivenBy the wagging of your tailPleading eyes beggingFor titbits of playJoining our packBringing total disarrayWhat have you givenIn turn for your care?Shit in the gardenFleas on my chairMy legs well exercisedFor the next ten yearsBut soft fur and tongueCan take away tearsOur own Molly OOf poetic wordsThere is nothing you knowYet you listenWith sharp attentive earsFor changes of tone, words likeWalk and big juicy boneIf my children askFor any other petI’ll suggest a stick insectAnd save on the vet.

Hi Seabhac… You had me at

Hi Seabhac... You had me at "into our lives you bounded"; the one thing that I miss most in my life is enough stability to get another dog. ~Anna p.s. Laughter. Tears. Joy. Sorrow. I yoyo between... sometimes I'm almost perfectly balanced, not often...mind you.

Stable maybe- sane ,no.

I had a dog as a child that was my one true companion, i lost him in my questioning teenager years and was never really ready to make that commitment again...it has taken 30 years and now I have made the commitment...my children would not have had the pleasure of Mollys joy if I had not done so now. There is never "the right time" there is only time and you can make it right if you choose. Balanced ...me? never... Seabhac

Shit in my garden flee’s

Shit in my garden flee's on my chair, this made me smile, my best friends dog i've nicknamed vampire dog because he often tries to take a crafty harmless nip at us all. My friend is always moaning about poo in his long fur, he is a pomiranium. But she wouldn't swap him for anything. Great poem vicki

Dear Seabhac:

You have just written a nice poem filled with humor and zest for life. Fast paced, such as you appear going on your picture, it shows more than a few experiential facets about you. Sincerely, Hugo
