Is this love?

It so happened I was attracted to this womman
How could it be?
She wansn't particularly different but I guess there was something only I could see
Our thoughts connected, her beauty reflected on me.
Before I knew it, my mouth spoke forth words, Romantic Poetry.
We started dating and everything was going perfectly
I'd be really pissed if she didn't call me
She'd often criticize: Jahleel, you just can't get enough of me.
Was this love? well...maybee

Guilt began to set in and one day she said to me,
She had another boyfriend whom she met before me.
I hope she didn't expect me to take it lightly.
It seemed I was screwing her but she was screwing me.
Go back to him and stay away from me!

Favorite Poets: “Withdraw into yourself and look. And if you do not find yourself beautiful yet, act as does the creator of a statue that is to be made beautiful: he cuts away here, he smoothes there, he makes this line lighter, this other purer, until a lovely face has grown upon his work. So do you also: cut away all that is excessive, straighten all that is crooked, bring light to all that is overcast, labour to make all one glow of beauty and never cease chiselling your statue, until there shall shine out on you from it the godlike splendour of virtue, until you shall see the perfect goodness surely established in the stainless shrine... Never did eye see the sun unless it had first become sunlike, and never can the soul have vision of the First Beauty unless itself be beautiful.”, Plotinus, The Enneads

Brilliant

Hi Jahleel In this poem there was hurt and disappointment of the female sex, but you picked, if this is about you, yourself up and dusted yourself down. She wasn't worth it in the end. xena465
