Again a crow

Poets have sung, the crow listened,
Ages to come, crows are heroes,
Riddles and legends and stories,
Amity, the watch word, a bond lives,
Crows our forefathers, a rebirth,
They mythologically live as  crows,
Men feed them to appease the spirits
Past generations live as crows
A solitary man, invalid, hapless,
Watches a crow near and dear,
She chats at my door  listen her,
I talk and feed him, joyful days,
He may be my grandpa, erudite,
Teaching tenets from religions,
An unknown bond jointly binds,
A strange rapport, worthy lessons,
I know why a crow is a hero,
Poets, philosophers  all crows.

A visiting crow tells tales,
Tones differ,meanings confuse,
"Hunger haunts you it does!"
I throw a hungry bread piece,
 It landed with flapped wings,
Snatched perched on a branch,
'Caw, caw' a semiotic challenge,
Here comes the mate, they kiss,
Piece by piece the bread inserted
In the open mouth.  Relish.
A societal gesture, gentle nice
A lesson civilized me at once,

They ardently cleanses the premises,
Willing service of all greatness,
A friendship born in earnest,
We are friends now you know!

Love this treatise on crows.

Love this treatise on crows. Thank you. I was surprised a few years ago how crows had come to my neighborhood, having only seen them in the countryside. Now they're as plentiful as pigeons once were. I have learned to like crows as spirit animals. ~A

A poets eyes and other

A poets eyes and other senses are of extreme value to the serious poetic writer and you seem to have that going for your poetry here. A fine work. Barry ,,,o,,

Again a crow (Poem)

Indians believe that the crows are their forefathers. The day of death is celebrated annually and crows are fed on that day.Thank you for your comment
