The Great Escape
They all seem to want more and more of you
When I'm crying out to take a piece of me
Why can't they fall for anybody else
Can't seem to hide my sickening jealousy
I'll pretend that you only have eyes for me
Though this seems to be getting more tough
The look of resignation on my face these days
Does this tell you I've finally had enough
You'll miss me, as no one loves you quite like me
And all the flattery from others is so fake
So this time will you listen to what I have to say
Or at least pretend to, just for my sake
I am so fucking adorable when I am needy
Was something that someone had once said
I would rather be known as needy than greedy
But then I'd rather have you with me in my bed
I am planning what with my very limited I.Q
What will be known as the greatest of escapes
Then you will realise what you could have had
And all those compliments were not mistakes
I may bow out, this could be my swansong
But then again you'll have to wait and see
Whatever happens you know how I honestly feel
But I ask now, please don't be waiting for me.
