Lucifer and Gabriel

She walks within shades of darkness
Resolutely untouched by the twisted sunlight
No shadow graces the heather strewn hills
Of those desolate wild wind blown moors
silhouetted against the unusual giant pale orb
known to others as the moon
She waits for the lover that never appears

Aching in transient being
she stands for times night
Bestowed red hair from the hells fires
alabaster skin from heavens marble columns
Eyes the shade of sea rolling over tussled sand
lips the darkest rose blood Scarlett
Some say she was forged from the clash
of Lucifer and Gabriel

As stars descend in to Lucifer's realm
it is said she travels with them held by him
carried up to the heavens again when Gabriel claims
them back for his ruling time
How queer that Gabriel reigns in darkness lit
only by the orb and the stars

and that Lucifer reigns in the fires of that burning mass
known as the sun
does theat mean that light is dark and that dark is light
In the terms of moral definition?

The tears that pearl her cheeks
maybe indeed be the only humanizing
thing that defines her real
as they drip upon those moors
creating the river that feeds livid purple heather
She has no knowledge that
Her unknown lover sleeps within

That heather by lights reign
Browned by the fires of that burning mass
Hair blackened as the ravens wing
The wind that howls about her form
whispers in the heather to him
as she stands awake with only his vision for company
He sleeps a dream of her tangable to almost intrinsic

What will the fate of these unmet lovers?
for as all of time wages the battle
unrelentingly of Lucifer an Gabriel
unmet they will stay
whilst he dreams by day and lives in the heavens by dark
she vigils by dark and sleeps in the hells by day
oh what hope can there be?
Yet the burning of branded love flares bright
And whilst this remains constant
hope does flower in those tear stained heathers.
