Dirty Little Fairy

Dirty little fairy
you sit upon my wall
playing with your wisdom
always laughing when i fall

Dirty little fairy
for all the world to see
you share your wisdom with them
why not share with me

Dirty little fairy
blind smiles in mocking eyes
why do you always smirk
at my life's nasty surprises

You dirty little fairy
begone from my wall
before i cut your wings off
and laugh when it is you who fall

I love it…. the poem

I love it.... the poem itself can use re-editing, but damn I, too, would like to cut that dirty little bitch's wings off. Great visual and we all have that little bit of evil in us, eh? Thanks for the morning smiles. By the way, I love yours. ~A Don’t let your victories go to your head, or your failures go to your heart.

Ah those Fairies...such harpies they can be lol

This is something of a sweet ditty with hard edges and it works well apart from a few places where the rhythm breaks down a little due to choice of words or line length (for example, some of the lines go down to five syllables when the rhythm for me expects a minimum of six). I'm not sure why you switch from "Little dirty fairy" in the first two verses to "Dirty little fairy" afterwards, but for me the latter trips off the tongue better and when you read it you can really emphasise the "D" in "Dirty" even more. So here, as always, is a slight suggested edit: Dirty little fairy you sit upon the wall, playing with your wisdom; always laughing when i fall. Dirty little fairy for all the world to see, you share your wisdom with them; so why not share with me? Dirty little fairy, blind smiles in mocking eyes; why always do you smirk at my life’s nasty surprises? You dirty little fairy, be gone from on my wall, before i cut your wings off and laugh when it's you who fall. Hope this is of some help. All the best Keith

I see what you mean, I think

I see what you mean, I think i was being passive in the first two then agressive in the last two. That was the intension but i can see from your edit that the impact is good with the whole thing as Dirty little fairy. as always thanks vicki ; )
