Seeping Peace

You never saw
as nacre fibers
wove round my heart

the weight of your eye
had fallen to me

you never heard
the symphony,
as celestial bodies gasped

your wings had opened
and slid
against my soul

I had never felt
the smallest measure
of serenity

supine in your grace
tranquility,washed through me

you smelt of fresh baked bread
and now after tasting
your talismanic heights

excited beyond all measure
we fall from grace

within the arc of heaven
an angel sobs of loss,
as tears,
form in the firmament

and I can now,

weep of peace

Well

My oh my, this was worth waiting for. I think this has a different tone and feel to it. Brilliant. I truly must say I found this a wee better than some, it is beautiful, sad, memorable and downright heartfelt. Well written dear one. You smelt of fresh baked bread, I love that line. I breathed in when I read that. Clever chicky babe, hey. Love from Lyz. XX

Dear Jayne

I did enjoy the whole poem but when I read those lines, mmm. It stood out. You are writing really deeply lately. I know all of life has its ups and downs but I am picked up by all the great poems here lately. You are writing great and I am sure when you read others, they help in some small way, like a smile, and we all need that. I have noticed a lot of differences in the poems posted these past few weeks. Just great. Is it in the water or that fresh baked bread, lol. Just terrific. Mwah from me. Xx

Seeping Peace...

I too had to take a deep breath, and remember the smell of fresh-baked bread. I also equate the smell with a happy, warm feeling of peace. Verrrrry, sneaky! Now my brain is full, and I can't remember any criticisms. Verrrry Sneaky! Big hugs and higgy bugs, ~ Gee

Bread and Butter...

I'm a master laugh-maker...It goes great with bread and butter! Drank a cuppa laughter with your warm bread, and mmmmmmmmm! I remember my mom making deep fried bread dough on a cold winter morning with the snow falling. Me and my two sisters would go play in the snow after breakfast, and when we came back in, she would give us some tea and warm bread. Then we would play some cards and just hang out. Thanks for the memories! love and huggly bugs, Gee

Seeping Peace

Dear lady jayne Invisible nacre fibres woven around the heart the weight of your fallen upon me anchored deep Grace tranquility serentiy flowed as a meandering stream Your wings outstretched brushed gently against my awaiting soul You sobs have been seen and heard by the angels above now an angel is she and with you she will always be take joy she is now released out of the earthly pain endured As for the baked bread - still smell it rising against my open fire I have not baked bread for many years now but the smell is irristable must be smotherd in butter only as it melts instantly before a taken bite but of course it is of birth and new begining - fire in the heart and the soul Take heart by dear Lady Jayne let it warm your heart and know the breath of life is the fire within let its warmth flow through you slowly gently taking all the pain away Always Electric Blue
