A Christmas moment

A Christmas moment,

The stockings are hung, with care each one
we've decked the tree for a season of fun
Hung our wreath for a merry day of sharing
with a jolly sprig of Mistletoe for the pairing!

Gather around and feel the Christmas love
radiate it for those who have been sent above
Family and friends all sitting around the table
As Great Uncle Nick again spins his famous fable!

Teaching our children about this special day
that Christ was born to take man’s sin away
It’s never been about the presents or toy’s
or spoiling all of the little girls and little boys.

So we dish from a plate of grateful holiday cheer
adding a tad more caring, each and every year
Saving the last dance at the end of the night
to remember the one who is closest to your sight….

Like your in any way "unsentimental" Gee, yeah right, LOL. Remember you have written me poetry!! Remember the misunderstanding over who had leathery skin!!
