Jingle bells, Shotgun shells
And a thirty aught six today!
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse Chevrolet!

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse Chevrolet
O'er the fields we go
Drinking night and day.
Bells on tailgates ring
Making spirits bright.
What fun it is to shoot and sing
We shot a deer tonight.

Oh Jingle bells, rifle shells
Drinking all the way!
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse Chevrolet!

This is great Dad!!!!!!! Reminds me of a Christmas carol Bob and Doug McKenzie did- Canadian version of 12 Days of Christmas. Yeah!

I can remember the one horse chevrolet. Shot gun shells is a good red-neck image; but I actually remember my dad meeting my boyfriend (ex husband)with his shotgun as he (boyfriend) drove up in his chevrolet. It was summer, though, but we did go squirrel hunting with 22 rifles. After about 3 one horse models I got a 327, 4 on the floor, glass pacs, cool, capri cream with black vinyl top. Yeah, baby. Delilah, boy oh boy do I remember those days. The old chevy truck with the fenders almost rusted out, flopping as you hit the holes and dips. I've just been very busy working on some stuff and trying to get my "Two Alone" novel (was posted here as Taxi driver) published. Finally got a bite and made it past the Query letter stage. They asked for my manuscript. Should know in a couple of weeks whether it will get published or not. Sitting on pins and needles ouch! Glad you got a laugh out of this.
