Highway of Happy...
Smeared raindrops on the windshield
Silver rivulets on black and glare
Wiper rhythm beating the radio into submission
The warmth of a breathing engine
And coffee too hot to drink
The camera of my mind is out of film
So the album of life is my last resort
Looking back is not forbidden
Just frowned upon...
Waking up too late, I missed my exit
Trying to see where I am
The picture window reflects the now
I had it all mapped out
This was a short-cut to happiness....
Roads get washed away and landslides happen
