An Unchartered Course
The sun won't shine
the moon won't glow
without you by my side,
patient lips
that seem to know
where my heart likes to hide.
Tender mercies
close to the vest
are cards we'd like to see,
they show us at
our very best
setting weary hearts so free.
Now, who's to blame ?
Who's not at fault ?
When push comes down to shove,
we make our way
proving our own salt
as we boldly fall in love.
There's much to learn
about the world
that lives behind your eyes,
a vision quest
spies a love unfurled
as we try on hope, for size.
the moon won't glow
without you by my side,
patient lips
that seem to know
where my heart likes to hide.
Tender mercies
close to the vest
are cards we'd like to see,
they show us at
our very best
setting weary hearts so free.
Now, who's to blame ?
Who's not at fault ?
When push comes down to shove,
we make our way
proving our own salt
as we boldly fall in love.
There's much to learn
about the world
that lives behind your eyes,
a vision quest
spies a love unfurled
as we try on hope, for size.
