That Door

                                     That door, your blockade

There your enforcement was made

It symbolizes what you're love for me is

Now done and gone!

That  something here, has gone so terribly wrong

True friendship petrified, true love was it a Lie?

Something has come between us

You and I

A true love that could have never die

It has grown cold and old before my very weary eyes

My dear heart why?

Try to remember  the summer rains

Or at least forget and forgive these pains

The stomping of these grapes, which in time would have became our wine

This wrath that you carry, is it worth all this worry or are these pigs truly swine?

Your loneliness? Your emptiness, are you fine?

Eight years have since past, why does this hurt inside of us last?

This itching for our loss and the time lost, it has caused such an imposition

What is it that we are missing? Is it just an indecision?

These hinges upon this door, should have rusted shut!

But,yet still they squeak, will we not seek?

They freely swing time and time again

These planks within, they have even thicken

A door made from solid ice, and silent lips

Our Love simply dismissed

Walking by these planks; they have finalized the sinking

of

This sailor and his ship

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: U.S. A. Indiana, Valparaiso, USA

Favorite Poets: Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Carl Sandburg these I have read some And so Many More. I have no Favorite or any that I dislike. Whom I consider to be poets; of course there are many Dark and hateful souls, who would cry out and to I will lend an ear, but some. They just leave a awful taste in my heart that I can not bear to read twice. Let alone as many times I would do normally; as I must.

Hey I'll take what I can get

Oopes are okay with me. I have been working on my first e-book for clickbank. The book has been ready since aug. but my finnaces and time constraints have keep me from learning how to create a product page and a thank you page. Which some how I have to link to their site (clickbank) and then I have to be approved and then pay the 49.95 to start selling the thing. And then I have to drive people to the site my site which I haven't been keeping up with because I lost my wi-fi connection and only get 240 min. at the berry. and my back and legs hate the cold and altough it is only 1.5 miles it is a little daughting for me. So I digress nice to see ya too wish I had the time to talk and read and comment more but I don't.I just keep meeting resistance every where I turn he The Devil (resistance) won't back off I guess I got him scared to death *L* Donnie/Sinbad

Sinbad...

Good to see you... I think this one needs some tightening up, too many "that's" and "and's". I love the idea of the door with the rusty hinges, indicating the amount of time the lock has been there... sometimes, all we can do is move on... find another door, one that will open willingly. Richard

Ah but the ones that you pry open

They usally have great treasure hidden there in the corners. Don't you think? I believe any thing worth having is worth suffering for. Although One should not have to suffer eternally Donnie/Sinbad
