Firewalker

I have watched the sun pour fire
into a glistening lake

I have heard a miracle born
as mornings line did break

I have seen a thousand angels
living in this world

I have survived as feeble cries
were ignored and never heard

but it was when your gentle hand
caressed my rivers bed,
shooting for the spiritual
I couldn't care if i was dead

brushing off the peelings
of dread and helplessness,
holding on for sobs
to stop breaking in my chest

kaleidoscopes of love
are thrashing through my veins,
filling every capillary
and adrenaline's attained

for all that I had searched
it was buried deep inside
and now that its unearthed
I know I can survive

all through the fights and conflicts
as life and love have crossed,
I always felt alone
and sometimes thought I lost

but now with love of life
my shield and spear do shine,
and I stroll onto this lonely road
but all our steps are still in time

I'll see you in the summer
as white roses bloom again,
and a stream of fire will flow
from the ink within my pen

Dearest Jayne

Another masterpiece you have written here. Of all the Angels walking on this earth, you are the loveliest and the brightest star in the heavens to touch down and bless us. My favorite lines are: for all that I had searched it was buried deep inside and now that its unearthed I know I can survive Love, Cat

Your Nirvana nights have given you your fire

and with it you blaze messages in the sands of time, reddened them with coloured dyes. Your cup is filled with gold and you will drink it and it will make you well and give you new life and the strength to face all strife and trials in this coming year, do not fear for we are here to a man, on your side fighting with you, I know this. There are souls in stressful troubles and if they could see your poem they too would have their Nirvana's and feel worthy of fighting for themselves and with you Jayne. "but it was when your gentle hand caressed my rivers bed, shooting for the spiritual I couldn’t care if i was dead"..........so sensitive "I’ll see you in the summer as white roses bloom again, and a stream of fire will flow from the ink within my pen"............you bet you will, of course you shall. Oh lovely thoughts and beautiful phrasing of them dearest Jayne. From Ann of Norway with all my love.

If...

I ever see you in the summer..." Liked the idea of putting something conditional around that - although with you nothing needs changing! Liked this one a lot! well done Jayne - always worth a peak back to Neopoet to find another gem of yours ;) Boni

This reminded

me quite a bit of a something William Blake might pen. Full of wonder, imagination, particularly the first two-line stanzas you have: "I have watched the sun pour fire/into a glistening lake" "I have heard a miracle born/as mornings line did break." The free imagination is lacking in poetry these days, and we have so many published poets who are flat as tap water; that is why i found this so refreshing. Nice job. GB
