While Other Things Happen
The shoppers shop their lives away
while religions kneel to stop and pray
for the kids who sit on the couch all day
to watch music on TV
While just down the block not far away
is a young girl raped with scars to stay
when the men are done, she'll smile and say
"I'm fine, just let me be."
Across the street, another dies
just two floors up somebody cries
for a son that bleeds but holds to lies.
The gang wont set him free
But the shoppers shop their lives away
while religions kneel to stop and pray
for the kids who sit on the couch all day
to watch music on TV
Across the seas live hungered eyes
no food, no water, who hears thier cries?
No hero be? what man may rise
for the the hungry world we see?
While just next door, both night and day
the parents fight for kids who stray
they fight for custody to get their way
and ignore their childrens plea
Still.....
The shoppers shop their lives away
while religions kneel to stop and pray
for the kids who sit on the couch all day...
to watch music on TV
while religions kneel to stop and pray
for the kids who sit on the couch all day
to watch music on TV
While just down the block not far away
is a young girl raped with scars to stay
when the men are done, she'll smile and say
"I'm fine, just let me be."
Across the street, another dies
just two floors up somebody cries
for a son that bleeds but holds to lies.
The gang wont set him free
But the shoppers shop their lives away
while religions kneel to stop and pray
for the kids who sit on the couch all day
to watch music on TV
Across the seas live hungered eyes
no food, no water, who hears thier cries?
No hero be? what man may rise
for the the hungry world we see?
While just next door, both night and day
the parents fight for kids who stray
they fight for custody to get their way
and ignore their childrens plea
Still.....
The shoppers shop their lives away

for the kids who sit on the couch all day...
