Eve's Epistle:

All beings are etches on a page
Icons on the great loom of existence

He was created from marsh
She a stone, they say he had a tail
And she sprouted forth from it's spine
Hacked off seething with scorpion venom
She whose name was mother, the life giver
Harbinger of death, the body's ancient bride
This life a moment, a blink in the ocean of existence
She is both the flame and the moth ever dancing with death
Neither losing the spirit for the play
She is a clay pot brimming with the wine of love
Overflowing to wet the lips of all humanity
Breasts flowing with myrrh
Eyes with the tears of certain knowledge
Her weeping is the weeping of too much love
As she was created from love, that love might be
Lies have been spread in her name
Deforming her nature
Her heart a garden
A shrine for the beasts?
So God created man in His own image
In the image of God He created him
Male and female He created them.

you write richly & with a great deal beneath the surface I suspe

Such a pleasure to catch a write from you on my brief visit Dalton... so many lines here that I wanted to dwell in. & so much within this write to reflect on, you write richly & with a great deal beneath the surface I suspect, it is a write I want to revisit until I have absorbed it's messages & symbolism more deeply. Gorgeous though on first read. I must come visit more from you... I so love the conversation between you & our lovely goddess of the creatures. Cheers Anni~ "When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace". H.H. the Dalai Lama

Always a great write from you.

You are a whizz. Your pen, or should I say, fingers, just roll and create. Very vivid and strong absorbing read. You can entice the reader with words that create a story. Love it. Love Lyz. XX
