Walking In The Rain

The drops come down
upon my face
so that the world can't see
the tears I've shed
for all my woes
the rain's a mask for me

It's cold embrace
holds me close
away from those who see
none come to greet
for they fear the cold
the rain's a space for me

It's chilling cold
it numbs me so
washing away the pain
for but a moment
no sorrow's known
when walking in the rain

hello...

We have not met before, so let me say "welcome." I used to love to walk in the rain, too. I really like how this poem flows. It touched a chord in me. Always, Cat
