Mind Over Manipulation

I've been thinking in circles
and you've inhabited me for days
I haven't decided yet
wether my brain's skewed
or just my perspective's changed
So, softly start this simulation
an undoubted emulation
temptation projects from certain doubt
reflecting off the complex cement paths
and innate crowns.
The sub-sonic frequencies
or sub-moronic inconsistencies
bound around aloud
creating more idiosyncrasies
And so, Protect yourself and observe readily
we'll cleverly advance ourselves steadily
with a messy caress from insanity
breath furnished with excess stress
unable to suppress my chest from a quiver
quicker than the speed of light
I can mask my eyes
and it makes everything alright

I've been thinking in circles
and you've inhabited me for days
I'm raising praise, playing dazed
contemplating ways to rephrase today's events
and life's cliches about razor blades
but you always conquer my thoughts
and raise your victory flag
tattoo your name into my crimson flesh
and empty out your bags
you sit solemnly in candlelight
slowly eating your food
casting golden shadows that influence my mood
I'll never admit it aloud
but you've been near here before
you'll notice I've cleaned up a bit
and slightly changed the decor
you'll notice there's no welcome mat
and there are immensely thicker walls
but there's a fireplace, a comfy chair
and a nice hardwood floor
I promise to keep you safe inside
and to never look away
I've been thinking in circles
and you've inhabited me for days.

"So softly start this simulation" It seems like you have set it up like a movie script. As I read this, I thought of it like you were directing a movie. Setting up the scenes, hashing and rehashing the dialog, and framing the picture. I especially like the line that goes, "I'm raising praise, playing dazed, contemplating ways to rephrase todays events." In order to make it as you wished, not as it was. Nice job! ~ Gee
