Just so you know
So saddened
that you receded
to a valley of silence,
hidden in shadow
So weary
that a blink
counted sheep,
that on a blind path
would lead you home
in the complexities
of the so whens
and the so whats
there was heard
'who cares?'
I do
I care that the river
washing your face,
will drown your last breathe
I care that your mourning
will overcome to a point,
that tips to no return
your grasping
on the tendrils of past,
grip to hold and never
let go,
but move on
I will always stand defiant
never letting you fall,
and I will be here
it is just so
