my happy place

I can taste the salt in the air I can hear the waves turning over where the seagulls are busy complaining where the tide is tugging at my feet wanting me to deeper sites where the sea meets the sky the endless distance this is my happy place this feeling of elation this bursting with happiness the bustling of voices in the background to be totally ignored the sand is soft and warm the dunes are a comfortable haven from the cooling breeze that kisses my face in total abandonment this is my happy place seashells are shimmering in the sand little sea creatures are scurrying to the water wishing to get back in the surf seaweed is drying by the shore this feeling of contentment of total resignation to the touch of the sun and the caress of the balmy wind enters my soul and brings a smile to my face this is my happy place

This is such a lovely poem

I don't know how it got missed for comments. It is soothing and relieving, takes me close to my happy place. Maybe people want sex drugs and rock and roll. I don't know, don't care, loved this. It is more than personal, it has a spirit of generousity. Cheers, Jess, reprehensibly irrepressible

Well, I just recently

Well, I just recently awakened and am now going through the poetry posted while I was sleeping. I seem to be piggy-backing you today, Jess. Lovely, gracious and generous poem, jfr. We all have a happy place even though we don't often make the journey there, too busy elsewhere. ~A Don’t let your victories go to your head, or your failures go to your heart.
